Regardless my final decision in re: buying or not, the inspection performed by jim ruppert was an example of excellent professionalism, confident and telling knowledge and advice as well as a most thorough examination of the property seen. impeccable service! i owe mr. ruppert not just thanks but the precious piece of mind, which i do have now.

As a Medical Doctor (MD), I appreciate thorough and detailed evaluations. Safe Harbor Inspections performed a complete inspection from the major structural evaluation to the roof, attic, and outside pertinent to how it could affect potential problems in the future. The report included detail pictures and was assessable over the internet in a timely manner. He is professional and thorough. In addition, Mr. Ruppert’s services were individualized and I never felt like I was treated like a number in a large company. I plan to use Mr. Ruppert services even if I purchase another home in ten years. I would strongly recommend Safe Harbor Inspections to my friends and colleagues.

I would like to comment on the inspection work that Jim Ruppert of Safe Harbor Inspections performed on a residence I am considering for purchase.

In short, Jim provided a thorough evaluation of the home, literally from the front edge of the property to the back, from the top to the bottom. From the first introductory discussion with Jim, through the entire inspection process, I felt that Jim was working for me and with me and with a desire to do the best job he could. Jim provided a personal touch that is important; I did not feel as though I was a number assigned inspector X who could care less about the particular situation - i.e. assembly-line like approach. The inspection report provided a complete rundown of everything discussed about the dwelling in a fashion that helps organize my thoughts on the important issues as well as keeping focused on all of the little issues that need attention, and monitoring of potential issues that may warrant further investigation in the future. Integrity is not easy to find, and I feel Jim has demonstrated it, which says quite a lot. Recommending someone who works hard is a pleasure.

Thanks for your report - I had my contractor look at it, and he said the only thing would be to tear it down, as the posts were probably rotten all through, and in fact he thought most of the house was rotten. So you saved me from what would have been a terrible mistake. I'm going to buy up the other half of my house in Park Slope until I can find a good one in Red Hook.
